Registered Apprenticeships: A Workforce Diversity Game Changer

When:  Sep 24, 2019 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)
In order to develop, diversify, and prepare their future workforce, many employers have instituted apprenticeship programs. In recent years, these programs have become more popular than ever, thanks to government sponsored initiatives like the U.S. Department of Labor’s Registered Apprenticeship Program. In 2018 alone, there were over 585,000 apprentices participating in Registered Apprenticeship programs and the numbers continue to grow. Join JFF Federal/State Apprenticeship Consultant, Scott Ellsworth, as he explains what an apprenticeship is, how it can be a tool of diversity, and the many additional benefits of having such a program. A fellow DirectEmployers Member will also join the call and share how apprenticeship programs have helped them to gain more diversity in their workforce.
