Communication Strategies for a Culture of Civility in the Workplace

When:  May 28, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM (ET)

Clear and inclusive communication is key to creating a productive work environment and a culture of civility in the workplace. Proper communication strategies can help to prevent harassment, encourage teamwork, and increase internal recruitment and employee retention.

Join us for a virtual "fireside chat" with April Klug and Brien Shoemaker with the EEOC, and Tiffany Hanson with LUNA Language Services and Indy Pride. These conversation leaders will host an engaging discussion focused on the importance of creating a respectful workplace and explore tactics for improving company culture.

With their unique backgrounds, they will be able to talk through some specific examples of opportunities to improve your workplace for team members with disabilities, of different national origin, or representing a variety of sexual orientations or gender identities.

Discussion Objectives:

  • Understand how making an intentional effort to create a culture of civility in your workplace can provide a return on your investment.
  • Explore communication strategies to create a respectful workplace and an inclusive team culture.
  • Discuss how team members with disabilities, from a different national origin, or from a variety of sexual orientations or gender identities might experience the workplace.
  • Ask your burning questions to our panelists about your personal experiences or how you might be able to help to improve your own workplace culture!

An ASL interpreter will be provided.

🎥 Video recording will be available after the webinar has concluded.
