Conducting a Self Audit: Will You Be Ready When the OFCCP Comes Knocking at Your Door?
‹
Back to Upcoming Events
When:
Sep 23, 2020 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (ET)
Being prepared for a visit by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is a good reason for conducting a self-audit of your company’s Affirmative Action Program. Contractors are required to implement an internal audit system to determine and report on the effectiveness of their programs. Besides the government, company management may also be interested in knowing how the company is progressing, and how well the program is working to ensure equal employment opportunity efforts support its diversity and inclusion strategy.
Conducting a self-audit means going far beyond measuring whether AAP goals have been met. To be meaningful, the audit needs to involve a comprehensive review of the company’s employment policies and practices, and supporting data. Join DirectEmployers’ Executive Director, Candee Chambers, and VP of AA/EEO Compliance, Tony Perkins, as they share answers to basic questions about a self-audit program, including: Who should be involved? What about Legal Counsel? What should be reviewed? How often? What should be done with the information, including analyses? Attendes will learn why acting proactively now can ensure your company can establish goals, processes to achieve them, and the ability to evaluate successes and failures.
Bring your questions, and join our team for a spirited discussion about how and what to do in designing an AAP self-audit program to ensure compliance and audit-readiness!
This webinar will also be interactive and will allow for 30 minutes of questions from audience participants.
