Behind every successful veteran hire is a network of dedicated professionals working tirelessly to make those connections possible. In this inspiring session led by DirectEmployers' VetCentral team, Michael Witt and Kim Lott, you’ll hear directly from Jamie Norton, the State Veteran Coordinator from Iowa, and Jerry Flores, a Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER) from the Oregon Employment Department, about how they collaborate with employers to help veterans find meaningful work, and how your jobs, particularly through the VetCentral daily job reports, play a critical role in this process.
Gain a deeper understanding of the outreach and support efforts happening at the state level, and walk away with practical guidance for how to connect with these boots-on-the-ground professionals to enhance your veteran recruitment strategy. Through real-world success stories and personal reflections, this session will shed light on the purpose behind the process and remind us all of the life-changing impact that thoughtful, compliant veteran hiring can have.
