Veteran hiring initiatives have been at the forefront of corporate hiring programs for many years, but women veterans and veterans with disabilities are often harder to place. According to recent statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, approximately 4.5 million U.S. veterans have a disability and roughly 1.8 million are women–the fastest growing subpopulation of the military and veteran communities.
Combat2Careers (C2C), a two-year project funded by the Kessler Foundation and Cornell University’s Yang-Tan Institute, aims to address the challenges that persist for these two groups. Join Combat2Careers' Director Kathleen Lee and Veteran Project Coordinator Kenneth Cisson for a one-hour webinar where you will learn:

  • What special challenges women veterans and veterans with disabilities face in employment, and how they can be minimized within your organization
  • What exactly the Combat2Careers project is and its mission
  • How the program connects military bases, colleges/universities, and employers to place student veterans in meaningful careers
  • How DirectEmployers Members can take part in this program
