DirectEmployers Executive Director Candee Chambers will lead this 60-minute DE Masterclass Roundtable on how one might develop “Strategic Plans for Military Spouses”. Drawing on her lengthy experience as a recruiter and later as an OFCCP compliance manager, Candee will lead a practical discussion of how to effectively locate, reach out to and hire military spouses given their special workplace challenges, contributions at work and availability.
During this Masterclass, our panelists will share their perspective on the following:
• How government contractors may adapt the structure of their Affirmative Action Plans for Minorities and Women to address this unique recruitment pool.
• Whether remote only jobs are the answer to effectively recruiting military spouses.
• How to locate and activate military spouse networks.
• What kinds of job privileges of employment and benefits are of greatest interest to military spouses.
• How to overcome barriers to the recruitment of military spouses, including bridging PTO entitlements, retirement pay benefits and work-site transfer privileges.
